And this I know, his teeth is white as snow...

I have been in the wintering DOLDRUMS since returning from Mexico. I sleep 'till noon and don't get as dressed up for work anymore. Also, I have put on Christmas weight, and have been wearing sweats and pajamas when I'm not at work. I never thought this could happen to me; all I do is knit unfinished hat orders, watch a variety of movies, read and work on my new denim "punk" vest, which involves pushing gold studs into denim and stenciling canvas with screen printing ink and freezer paper. A fellow blogger recently employed the Fruits concept of a "point of fashion" to describe her look for '09. I am considering my "point of fashion" for spring to be white trash 80's punk (hence the vest and hopefully white doc martens from Mickey) combined with some type of 5-year-old girl dress from the early '90s involving ribbons, floral dresses, and wack sweaters. If Stephanie Tanner hung out with Iggy Pop. Or maybe just Courtney Love and Madonna got into a terrible fight and so did Frances Bean and Lourdes. It could happen. Something very Kinder whore-ish with the punk aesthetic.

I've been rockin' Wack sweaters these days, and as an incentive to get me to post more often, it's Wack Sweater week. I think wack sweaters should be worn with distinct irony. Pairing them with muted accessories is a good idea (though I am not doing this in the following photo, I am channeling Rainbow Brite meets Holly Hobby, I suppose)

Wack Sweaters: A knitted cardigan or pull-over usually worn loose, with colorful intarsia pattern or a decided over-all bizarreness. Color combinations give the Argyle its sole potential for being a "Wack" sweater.

Day 1: Several weeks ago, prior to Xmas. That's cheating, I know. I'm freezing.

My vintage Missoni Jacket is kind of a wack sweater in its own right. That's my own bonnet that I made for myself out of necessity.
Dress: Forevveaahhh
tights:hue!
shoes: Doc. Marten's
hat: Pink Marshmallow girl!!!
coat: Missoni
sweater: randum(like how j'amie says it on summer heights high) cool from work

While I was away, Prudence finally arrived!

Has it REALLY been this long?!

Okay, whoever is reading this blog, I would like you to know that for the past 2 months it has been BEWITCHED, by the the chemical most commonly found in puffer fish (aka, the Tetraodontidae)which inhibited the RESPIRATORY system of the blog...err marshmallow? and thus turned it into a ZOMBIE blog for two and 1/2 months...

I am sorry, but PinkMarshmallow girl IS BACK!!

Here's what I love (What I've been lovin' since I was poisoned...):

1. Jonah Takalua from Summer Heights High...I'd totally bring him to the Year 11 Formal...

The dude, Chris Lilley, plays three different characters so damn well. They all crack me up. He plays Jonah, the year 8 breakdancer who loves to tell people to "fuck off"( you would never know it's a thirty-four year-old man!), and also he plays a private-school girl transfer, J'amie who is such a little bitch with her tantrums, and finally, he's Mr. G, the over-zealous drama director who is staging a school play about a student who recently OD'd. I really wish all three characaters could meet, like I really want Jonah to be in one of Mr. G's plays...hey, they did it for The Parent Trap!
2. Gossip Girl
Hello??!! I THINK LAST EPISODE WAS THE BEST EVER!!!!!!!! And I am enjoying Jenny's transition from darling little sis into Scene-trashed coke feen (like that episode when she went out and ended up on cobrasnake...). Now if I could only see more of Mr. Bass (not the late...) I have been a bit VEXED with the clothing...suddenly its become very predictable...

3. Knitting.

Photobucket

Yeah, I haven't really KNIT since thanksgiving, because I got a bad head cold and became a schoolwork-slut. There's a waiting list right now, but if anyone's down for a custom, hit me up and you'll have it by Feb.

these are both SOLD!!!!!

4. Springtime in wintertime Lately, my outfits have inspired comments about my spring-like appearance on bitter cold November/December days. Usually I am going for Soviet-Trash-Ice-Bitch Ballerina in a shredded pink tutu-like skirt which also features an urban landscape (suppose you'd need to see this one to get it...) over fishnets over other tights...the outfit here is of that old Adrienne Vitaldi dress of my elder sisters worn often this summer...

5. Blythe
It's like Hello Kitty all over again...I'm obsessed with Neo Blythe Dolls. They have crazy ass eyes that change colors when you pull the string...People customize them, build them houses, make clothing for them, they're expensive, adorable, and additive.
I can't afford a 12-inch Neo Blythe right now (the girl I really want is $399 on eBay!), but I did help myself to a Petite Blythe, which was $28 including shipping from Hong Kong (Gardens!!). I got Petite Blythe Night Flower, she's so cute but only 4inches tall! I want to name her Prudence, and I am anxiously awaiting her arrival. I plan on making her a bonnet, etc. I ordered her a little xmas outfit (hopefully she comes in time to wear it!) and a black and white striped hooded sweatsuit so she can be a little jailbird, both from pungsnotded. I also kinda wanna build her a little dollhouse...I am regressing people, we're in a recession and I'm nearly 22 yrs old and buying Japanese Dolls...

The expensive Velvet Minute one that I LUVVV!! Maybe Billy will get her for me ;)

My petite Blythe whose arrival I await with bated breath!! I was worried she would be uncomfortable with now where to sleep until her house is built, so I bought her this tiny sleeping bag.
At target, I'm not kidding.
