"What we have here is a Dreamer...someone who is completely out of touch with reality..."

I am a very annoying blogger, I have grammatical errors, and just seem like an annoying person. I promise I'm not really as annoying as I seem on the blog. I am eccentric. I am to a degree uninhibited. Many people think I am weird. I am really OK with this. I enjoy making people think I am weird, it adds intrigue. Like for example, making an odd observation, on the fly about something absurd and obscure. I am also socially awkward because I lost all my best girlfriends (almost all, AM has stuck with me!) to boyfriends. If you people (whoever reads this besides my Dad) understand that I live in my own little pink marshmallow universe where spelling and punctuation don't count and you can like Joy Division and Leftover Crack with out being called a poser and white gloves may be worn...its ok to sleep in false eyelashes and even more acceptable to wear the same ones twice...

I think on that note, this should be a beauty post. Not like you are really going to go out and buy the same shit that I wear, but...

1. Face
Photobucket

Angels on Bare Skin Face stuff. This is some good shit, its all grainy...

Photobucket

Then I spray this Teatree Toner on my face. These are both from lush

Photobucket

Next, if I have any zits, or crap like that I use the Physician's Formula blemish Rx because it works and it gives coverage. It has medicine in it. I broke out a bunch this summer and stopped drinking dark soda and that has helped. I also used to use Bare Essentials mineral powder but that shit made such a damn mess and I think it also made me break out.

2. Makeup!!("Jewelry!")

Guerlain Terra Cotta Bronzer

Nars Multiple in Palm Beach

Photobucket

M.A.C Powder Blush in Dollymix (isn't that just a splendid name?)

Usually I'm all pale, so I layer all three. I don't use the bronzer as heavily in winter though.

Photobucket

Then I put this shimmery white on...(my eyelids...)Its just Ulta brand.

Photobucket

But sometimes I put this Rimmel Smokey Eyeshadow stuff on to mix it up...

Photobucket

Photobucket

Then I put some liquid black eyeliner on, usually in a little wing or an arch or sometimes just straight out and exaggerated. I need some better liquid eyeliner though. The top one, the Prestige High Def, turns GRAY after a while, and the NYC one isn't that bad (for $1.99!), but it has a brush and not a felt tip, which can really screw things up! I would like to find the perfect EXPENSIVE black liquid eyeliner...any suggestions? I use it like everyday...

Yaayyy for mascara!! If I were on a desert island...I'd bring MASCARA!!! (and lippy) See, I have this theory, you know how some hairstylists tell you to SWITCH shampoos frequently? Well, I like to SWITCH my mascaras for better results! I alternate them!! Sometimes I go nuts and just layer them all, I like the spidery eye look! I never leave the house without it, and I love trying all the new drugstore brands because they are so cheap and its like instant gratification! The first one is Glam Eyes by Rimmel, the second one is also Rimmel, its called Lycra (like the stuff they put in yo' jeans to make'em streeecchh) Lash Extender, The third is CoverGirl Lash Blast, and the final (which I think they copied Covergirl with that packaging...) is Maybelline The Colossal Volume Express!!! I don't know which is the best!!

Photobucket

I really want to "splurge" and try some of this Fiberwig mascara that wraps little tubes around your lashes to make them seem longer...its from Japan, so HEY!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Yes, so I also like to wear fake lashes. Any occasion is good, like if someone was mean to me and I want to devastate them with my lusty lashes...or I could just be going to school/work... I use MAC, Ardelle, whatever. I usually buy really dramatic ones (I get really excited in the store...) that are usually reserved for Drag Queens, but I trim them up nice! I always use the Duo Surgical Adhesive stuff they have at the MAC counter. It's the best stuff. If you hold the lash with the roots facing you in a tweezer, you can put a thin line of glue around it, but wait a few seconds so it isn't too goopy. I can do this in my sleep, but it takes practice...

Dior Rouge in Celebrity Red is my fav! They didn't have a picture though. I am also into miscellaneous Berry/Wine shades for fall.

This is what I use on dirty hair, right before I tease it. It smells like an old lady, but in a good way, like laundry! Pssssst!!
Photobucket
Finally, a spritz or two (or three...) of Aquolina Pink Sugar! It smells like Cotton Candy and I've worn it forever! Its like our generation of Love's Baby Soft expect the tough girls wear it!

Legally Blonde in Cotton Candy Dreams!!

I am sitting in some sort of hello kitty terry cloth dress while we experience a MONSOON here! Last weekend though, was perfect, and I am posting the dreamy Betsy Johnson 50's prom-dress esque dress I wore to the Smashing Legally Blonde the Musical Premier. People stared and gawked, but I was unfazed.

It was part Hairspray...

Trouble with School

Hello!! As I forewarned, things with school have gotten quite screwy and at the end of the day, I usually want to kick off my shoes, eat sweets, study (rarely a desirable thing...), take a bath, knit, see my boyfriend, etc. But last weekend was a mess of fabulous styles, it was Betsy's last weekend here! I miss her and her cherubic son with all my heart. I was so glad that she visited, me and Lila have had great times with her and O! I am finally, a week later about to post the fun!! Friday night she and her husband ( who flew out for a few days, it was marvelous to see him, he even offered some style advice! He has a Metro streak, you see!) went to Betsy's High School reunion. She wore such a chic Nicole Miller dress, in the words of Rachel Zoe (admit it, Bravo's programing is making you quite the fashionista...) "I DIE!" Betsy has allowed me to post it! Just so you know, she is devastatingly beautiful with a terrific figure, and she just had a baby, like seven months ago!! Well anyways, she and her husband stayed at this chic new boutique hotel in an old factory by the river. They have a sort of deck with these pod-like wicker seats with pillows. I was sitting in one with Lila, but they ignored us (probably because they couldn't see us and they haven't ironed out the kinks yet...). That was a little disappointing. I wanted a Strawberry Mojito and Lila wanted some wine! Then on Sunday, Lila and I were going to the Legally Blonde the Musical premerie at night, but first, I met up with Betsy, O, and Charlie for a stylish brunch at the hotel. Betsy and I went shopping around in the area, and at SYMS we found the MOST DREAMY BETSY JOHNSON dress EVER!!! She bought it for me as an early graduation present (I am a broke part-timer), I'll wear it again for my 22nd birthday/ grad. party hopefully at this kick-ass hotel...I wore it to the premier that night. It was the most dressed-up there! (this ain't broadway!) and OMIGOD OMIGOD you GUYS the musical was so good!! Lila always takes me to fantastic plays, its our sister thing. So thank you, lovely older sisters, for SPOILING me ROTTEN this past weekend!!!

My fall look last Friday for school and hanging out at the hotel to see Betsy off:

Charlie (my bro-in law) advised me AGAINST the cropped(faux) fur jacket because it mad it too boxy. I came to agree with him and didn't wear it out that night. What do you think?
Dress: Vintage
Tights: DKNY
Faux Fur: from Betsy
Shoes: F21
Glasses: Random (I always wear them, I need some new ones desperately, they are cheap and scratched!!)
Bag: Marshall's
Earrings: Vintage

Photobucket

The dress is vintage from a local shop. Betsy bought it for me to wear on my 19th or 2oth birthday...Here are some pictures from that day, way back when (I had scene hair :( )

Photobucket

I wore it with gold sparkly tights and a vintage (real, it was Moma's) fur stole. I spiked my hair and wore a gold scarf on my head.THIS was a mistake...

Plaid And Leopard

D&G ran a pre-fall ad campaign that I can't find online (naturally) in which the models in plaid accessorized with leopard accessories like belts and pumps. I tried it out the other day work and school...I was super-cranky and stressed...
